Solutions
Three offerings. Each with a defined scope, a written record, and a clear price.

How the bench approaches each job
Each service at Ormolu begins with a written description of what will be done and what it will cost. The scope is agreed before the bench starts. If inspection reveals something that changes the picture, work stops and the owner is contacted before anything further happens.
The three services below represent the full scope of what the bench offers. They do not overlap: a watch requiring rate adjustment does not need to go through the dial restoration process, and vice versa. If a piece needs work that falls outside all three, the bench will say so and point toward a more appropriate route.
Service 01
Rate Adjustment & Positional Timing
Timing work carried out without a full strip-down, for movements that are clean but running outside their expected daily variance. Written for owners whose watch keeps time well on the wrist but poorly at rest, or the reverse. Bench time is four to seven working days.

Careful work on dials showing lacquer lift, spotting or faded printing, alongside hand refinishing and relume matched to the original tone. Scope is four to eight weeks including drying time. Owners may stop after the sample stage and take the dial as it is.

Standards
Protocols shared across all services
Secure custody
Each piece is logged by serial number on arrival and departure. Storage while on the bench is in individual padded containers.
Written records throughout
Condition notes, agreed scope and final results are documented in writing and given to the owner when the piece is collected.
Approval before any irreversible step
No step that cannot be reversed is taken without explicit agreement from the owner. This applies to dial work above all else.
